The Scales Havent Moved!!!!!

This is something that I need to continuously remind myself.  Multiple reminders a day.  Today I stepped on the scale and the number was still the same.  I out on my clothes and they are still too tight in all the same places.  I look in the mirror and I still see all the extra padding in the wrong places.  I mean, come on!!  I started eating healthy and exercising on Monday.  Why is the number still the same?!?!

I have to remind myself that this is more than a diet.  It is a lifestyle change.

They say it takes 4 weeks for you to notice you body changing, 8 weeks for your friends to notice, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world.  So give yourself 12 weeks.  Don't quit.

I'm 3 days in.  I need a little patience.  Lord please grant me the strength to have patience in this journey!!

Stay strong my friends, you have time!!!

I Survived Day 1 of Crossfit!!

Yes, I survived my first Crossfit session, and I really enjoyed it.  It may have something to do with the fact that the actual workout was only 6 1/2 minutes, but my legs are still a shaking!

I am really impressed with the class.  The 5-10 min was intros, then we had a short warm up.  We spent the next 35 or so minutes learning the correct technique for the 5 exercises we would be doing during our workout, the modifications for each exercise, and the philosophy behind why they do each exercise the way they do, and why you should do the modifications rather than gritting through it.  This really impressed me.  A lot of times you join workout classes, and you never really get taught exactly how to do everything you need to do, so people end up doing it they way it looks in their mind, which often ends in injury.  Once we were all capable at doing the exercises, we did our work out.

500m row
40 squats
30 situps
20 push ups
10 body rows

it took me 6 1/2 minutes. It may not seem like a lot, but it sure kicked my butt and I will be sore tomorrow for sure!!

I cannot wait until Wednesday.  This is exactly just what I needed!!

Happy Exercising!!

Its About Time!!!!!!

Well here I am getting back on track once again.  The summer has been a rocky road.  Moving, trying to sell finishing up at work.  Well it all became a little stressful.  To make matters worse, I gave up exercising and started eating rubbish!  Now here I am with my last 5 pounds now being 15!!  I have no good excuses and no good reasons.  All I can tell you is that today is day one!!

Today I am starting my intro to crossfit class, and I am back to eating healthy and monitoring my calories using myfitnesspal.   I hope to get back into running shortly and join a 10km running clinic mid October.

In addition to my healthy lifestyle choices, I also want to get back to doing things I enjoy.  Baking and decorating cakes, trying new delicious recipes, and maybe finding a few creative projects. I have started a new job and I am very excited about it all!!

I'll keep you posted!
